"I do. But instead of driving him away as I might have done, I mean instead of simply kicking him out on his arse, in the goodness of my heart I am bringing him to the fair, where I hope to get a good price for him."
Blinded generosity is a theme portrayed in both waiting for godot and Oryx and Crake. Pozzo makes a comparison in selling Lucky that he deems to make him a good person. In similarity to Oryx and Crake, when Snowman makes the Crakers bring him fish once a week. The difference in these 2 situations is that Pozzo thinks he's being kind by not jump simply driving out Lucky, while Snowman is fully aware that he is manipulating the Crakers into giving him fish.
Blinded Generosity is an interesting theme because it is usually portrayed egotists and snark rich people(i.e Pozzo), but Margret Atwood placed Snowman in a situation where the people who are receiving the Generosity (Information about Oryx and Crake) do not think they are being cheated(i.e 97% profit on internet, hostage situation)
