Dignity is reviewed in waiting for godot. In more specifics to the character of Lucky. Lucky is portrayed as a character without dignity because of his social status (slave). He is placed in this horrible and demeaning position in which he cannot argue or make any respeectable decisions for himself. In the novel Oryx and Crake it seems that Jimmy is also put in this position by Crake. Jimmy and Crake are both friends, but Crake always seems to manipulate Jimmy and place him on a lower place than himself (either intentionally or unintentionally).

 

 

 

                        The theme of Dignity works to establish a social class, those who have high dignity are those of influential word and large wealth. Dignity works to create this system in place.
